The Library of the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology offers books and publications covering scientific and occupational fields of Biotechnology and Food Technology. Since it has been connected to the Internet the library has had the access to the whole net of University libraries.

In 2000 the space of the library was enlarged by 250 square meters of a new gallery which will enable better working conditions and the use of computers in scientific and studying purposes for the students of this faculty.

The library is open from 8.00 a.m. till 4.00 p.m.

The Library is subscribed to 40 scientific and occupational journals: the subscription fee for most of the journals is funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, whereas 20 journals are aquired through the exchange of the journal of the Faculty "Food Technology and Biotechnology" and 15 journals are acquired by personal subscription (withdelay).

The library actively participates in the project "Croatian Science Information System" - Natural Sciences.

Beside the classification of its fundus, the Library follows new trends, takes care of intralibrary exchange in Croatia and abroad, provides its users with useful information, copies materials, etc.

The Librarian in charge is an active member of the Supervisory Board of Croatian Information and Documentation Society.
