&lt;p&gt;Zavod za prehrambeno-tehnološko inženjerstvo predstavlja temeljnu jedinicu Fakulteta usmjerenu na razvoj novih tehnologija proizvodnje hrane. Znanstvena aktivnost Zavoda fokusirana je na unapređenje procesa s posebnim naglaskom na razvoj funkcionalne hrane, inovativno procesiranje i održiva tehnološka rješenja u prehrambenom sektoru.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h3 class="pbf-title-flat"&gt;Nastavna djelatnost&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Djelatnici Zavoda sudjeluju u izvođenju nastave na svim razinama studija Prehrambeno-biotehnološkog fakulteta te na srodnim fakultetima hrvatskih sveučilišta:&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;li&gt;Preddiplomski, diplomski i poslijediplomski studiji Prehrambeno-biotehnološkog fakulteta.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Integracija suvremenih procesa i tehnologija u nastavni rad.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Suradnja s drugim sastavnicama hrvatskih sveučilišta u interdisciplinarnom obrazovanju.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Znanstvena istraživanja Zavoda obuhvaćaju najmodernije aspekte prehrambene tehnologije:&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;li&gt;Netoplinske tehnike procesiranja: hladna plazma, pulsirajuće električno polje, ultrazvučni postupci i visoki hidrostatski tlak&lt;/li&gt;

	&lt;li&gt;Ekologija i održivost: obrada tehnoloških voda i nusproizvoda prehrambene industrije&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Zavod kontinuirano surađuje s gospodarstvom na rješavanju procesnih problema, razvoju novih proizvoda te izradi tehnoloških rješenja za suvremene proizvodne pogone.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Department of Food Technology Engineering is a fundamental unit of the Faculty focused on the development of new food production technologies. The Department's scientific activity is concentrated on process improvement with special emphasis on the development of functional foods, innovative processing and sustainable technological solutions in the food sector.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;h3 class="pbf-title-flat"&gt;Teaching Activities&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Department staff teach at all levels of study at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology and at related faculties of Croatian universities:&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;li&gt;Undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate studies&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Integration of modern processes and technologies into teaching activities&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Collaboration with other constituent units of Croatian universities in interdisciplinary education&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;h3 class="pbf-title-flat"&gt;Scientific and Professional Activities&lt;/h3&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Department's scientific research encompasses the most modern aspects of food technology:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul class="pbf-list-flat"&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Non-thermal processing techniques: cold plasma, pulsed electric field, ultrasonic procedures and high hydrostatic pressure&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Advanced processing methods: extrusion, microwaves, tribomechanical micronization and membrane processes&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Specific technologies: milk, meat, fish, cereals, confectionery products, oils, fruit, vegetables, wine and strong alcoholic beverages&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Ecology and sustainability: treatment of technological waters and by-products of the food industry&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Department continuously cooperates with the economy in solving process problems, developing new products and creating technological solutions for modern production facilities.&lt;/p&gt;
