&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 1rem;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;The Centre for Food Technology and Biotechnology has operated in Zadar since 2007 as a unit of the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb. The Centre includes the Laboratory for Genetics and Biotechnology, the Laboratory for Drying Processes and Stability Monitoring of Bioactive Compounds, and, since 2015, the Laboratory for Honey Quality Control.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Through scientific and EU projects, research activities address areas relevant to food producers in the wider Zadar County, such as organism genotyping, development of new food products, determination of bioactive compounds and other food ingredients, and food quality control. The permanent staff of the Centre for Food Technology and Biotechnology are Sandra Pedisić, PhD, and Zdenka Pelaić, PhD, while other staff are employed on projects within the laboratories mentioned above.&lt;/p&gt;
