Laboratory for Fermentation and Yeast Technology operates within the Department of Food Engineering at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology of the University of Zagreb. The Laboratory was founded in 1957 and was named Laboratory for Fermentation Technology. In 1976, the Laboratory’s activity expanded, and the Laboratory was named Laboratory for the Fermentation Technology and Biological Treatment of Wastewater. The Laboratory for Fermentation and Yeast Technology was set up in 1997 and has since operated as an independent unit.
