Erasmus+

Erasmus+ is an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone, broaden your horizons, and enrich your studies with an experience that lasts a lifetime.

Erasmus+ mobility offers PBF students the opportunity to spend part of their studies or traineeship abroad, gain international experience, explore new education systems, and develop personal and professional skills.

A period at a foreign university or in an international work environment contributes to greater independence, confidence in communication in a foreign language, and improved competitiveness in the labour market.

PBF students may participate in two types of mobility: study mobility and traineeships.

Erasmus+ study mobility enables students to spend part of their studies at partner universities abroad, with recognition of the ECTS credits earned.

At PBF, the Office for International Cooperation and Academic Mobility (UMSAM) provides administrative support.

Mobility is regulated by the Decision on the Procedure for Implementing Student Mobility at PBF and the Regulations on International Mobility.

The process begins with Erasmus+ Info Days organized by UMSAM. Students explore partner universities and, in cooperation with the ECTS coordinator, check course recognition, while the call is published by the University of Zagreb.
Students apply via the University of Zagreb online form, select three institutions, and submit the required documentation.
UMSAM checks the applications administratively, while the Committee evaluates candidates according to the established criteria and submits the ranking list to the University of Zagreb.
The University of Zagreb publishes the results, and UMSAM informs students and provides support in the further procedure.
Selected students are nominated, and after acceptance, an Online Learning Agreement is prepared with at least 25 ECTS credits.
During the mobility period, the student completes academic obligations, with the possibility of course changes through OLA Changes.
Upon return, the student submits the required documentation, and UMSAM carries out course recognition and records the results in the ISVU system.

Erasmus+ traineeships are focused on gaining work experience in companies or research institutes abroad.

Students are required to complete the Record Form for the Use of Counselling Office Services.
The student independently finds a host institution. An Acceptance Letter is required for the application, which is submitted online through the University of Zagreb.
UMSAM checks the formal correctness of applications, while the Committee evaluates the candidates. The results are published by the University of Zagreb, with the possibility of funded or zero-grant mobility.
A Learning Agreement for Traineeships is concluded, defining the work programme and learning outcomes.
At the end of the mobility period, the student submits the final traineeship documentation. After recognition, the traineeship is entered into the Diploma Supplement.
