PBF Student Council

About the Student Council

The Student Council of PBF, University of Zagreb, is a representative body that protects students’ interests, participates in the work and decision-making of PBF bodies, and represents students within the higher education system.

It was established at the end of 1996, and its work is regulated by the Act on Student Councils and Other Student Organisations (Official Gazette 71/2007).

Council members

Students from all levels of study elect their representatives every two academic years.

Structure and Participation

The Council appoints the Student Ombudsperson and elects representatives to key Faculty bodies:

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the quality of the study process and study programme reform
  • Protecting student rights and standards
  • Implementing programmes in culture, sport and science
  • Preventing discrimination against students
