1962 – The Food Technology Institute (PTI) was established at Maksimirska 2, Zagreb, to provide scientific and professional support for the development of the food industry.
1972 – PTI relocated to a newly built facility at Jagićeva 31, Zagreb (current location).
1985 – Part of PTI merged with the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology (PBF), University of Zagreb, becoming part of the Department of Food Knowledge and Control to carry out professional activities.
1993 – Professional activities were separated from the Department of Food Knowledge and Control, resulting in the establishment of the Centre for Food Control at the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb.
At the Centre for Food Control, all testing is conducted by professionally trained staff using modern, calibrated equipment, which significantly enhances the quality and reliability of testing and measurement results.
