Laboratory for Food Packaging was established in 2008, initially as the Chair of Food Packaging within the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. The initiative for its establishment was launched by Professor Kata Galić, PhD, recognizing the importance of this discipline in the food sector.
As early as 2009, the Chair grew into an independent Laboratory for Food Packaging and became an integral part of the Department of Food Technology Engineering. Today, the laboratory is managed by Associate Professor Mia Kurek, PhD.
