The Laboratory for Organic Chemistry was established in 1956 as the Department of Organic Chemistry with Technology, within the then Faculty of Food Technology and Technology. Following the university reorganization, from 1975 to 1979, it was classified under the name Laboratory of Applied Organic Chemistry within the OOUR Institute of Engineering Chemistry of the Faculty of Technology. Since 1979, it has operated as the Laboratory for Organic Chemistry within the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology.
