Laboratory for Biological Wastewater Treatment operates within the Department of Food Technology Engineering of the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb.

The Laboratory was established in 1984 under the name Laboratory for Wastewater Testing. Prior to its independent establishment, all research related to wastewater issues was conducted within the Laboratory for Fermentation Technology.

Today, under the leadership of Professor Tibela Landeka Dragičević, PhD, the laboratory represents a key component for the development of environmentally friendly solutions in food engineering.
