Economics office was established in 1990 within the Department of Process Engineering of the Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology, University of Zagreb, and has been operating as part of the Department of General Programmes since 1995. From 1957 to 1983, the economics group of courses and research in this field were conducted within the Cabinet for Industrial Enterprise Economics, and then from 1983 to 1989 within the Cabinet for Food Industry Economics.
