In addition to the existing email receiving addresses in the form <firstinitial><lastname>@pbf.hr, sending and receiving email messages is also enabled via addresses within the unizg.hr domain
Thus, through an example, an employee who receives mail via the address ihorvat@pbf.hr should now be able to receive it at the address ivan.horvat@pbf.unizg.hr
All employees are required to state their email addresses within the unizg.hr domain on their official documents, especially on scientific and professional papers, presentations, books, educational materials and other places where possible.
Instructions for introducing email addresses within the unizg.hr domain:
Account setup
- Click on File in the top left corner of the window.
- Click on + Add Account.
- In the wizard, select Manual setup or additional server types → Next.
- In the Choose Service window, select POP or IMAP → Next.
- In the POP or IMAP Account Settings window, enter:
- Your name: alias name
- Email Address: first.last@pbf.unizg.hr
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server: vms.pbf.hr
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): vms.pbf.hr
- User Name: email address
- Password: leave blank
- Uncheck Remember password
- Leave SPA unchecked
- Uncheck Automatically test account settings
- Click on Next → Finish.
Disabling incoming message checking
- Click on the Send/Receive tab.
- Click on Send/Receive Groups.
- Select Define Send/Receive Groups.
- Check All Accounts and click Edit.
- Select the newly created account.
- Uncheck Include the selected account in this group.
- Click OK → Close.
Using the account
New Email → click on the From field → select the newly created account (first.last@constituent.unizg.hr).
- Open Tools → Account Settings.
- On the left side, click on the user account.
- Click on Manage Identities.
- In the Identities window, click on Add.
- In the New Identity dialog, enter:
- Your Name: alias name
- Email Address: first.last@constituent.unizg.hr
- Other settings are taken automatically.
- Close the windows by clicking OK → Close → OK.
Using the account
Write → click on the address in the From field → select the newly created account.
- After logging into webmail (https://vms.pbf.hr/roundcube), click on SETTINGS.
- Click on IDENTITIES and then on the + sign.
- In the Add Identity form, enter:
- Display Name: first and last name
- Email: first.last@pbf.unizg.hr
- Check Set default
- If needed, copy the signature into the Signature field
- Click SAVE to finish.
