Scientific presence and citation is one of the parameters for evaluating scientific productivity and its impact through citations in relevant databases.
Presence, i.e., indexing of scientific papers, is checked in relevant databases as prescribed by the National Science Council's regulations on conditions for appointment to scientific titles, for specific scientific fields.
Citation refers to the total number of citations of a scientist's published works in citation databases.
Books can be borrowed from any domestic library, as well as from libraries abroad. Among foreign libraries, the rich collection of the British Library is recommended, but other international sources can also be used, usually through the mediation of the National and University Library.
Borrowing is charged according to the valid price list of the library lending the material, converted at the CNB exchange rate on the day of receipt of the publication.
In addition to books, photocopies of articles can also be ordered. Photocopies are ordered through the NSK and are charged according to their valid price list.
Universal Decimal Classification (UDC) is a general classification scheme used in libraries worldwide. It consists of main and auxiliary tables that provide a unique number for subject indexing and easier searching of information contained in works.
Issuing UDC numbers applies to specialist and doctoral theses.
